Can I take a picture or record something at the Žalgiris arena?

Want to capture a great moment from the stands or snap a good photo after a win? Here is where the line sits between a personal memory and something that could actually get you into trouble.

IMPORTANT: Security staff have the right to inspect your belongings at the entrance.

Before You Begin

Under the official purchase, sale, and conduct rules for Žalgirio Arena, bringing professional filming, photography, and sound recording equipment into an event is prohibited, and simply being in the arena means you accept that your image or voice may end up in a live broadcast or match recording.

Here is what you need to do

  • Feel free to bring your phone, a compact camera, or any other regular personal device; these will not cause you any trouble getting into the arena.
  • Take photos and videos freely, but keep in mind they are meant for personal use only, not for public distribution online as a full match broadcast.
NOTE: If you are planning to bring professional gear (a camera with a large lens, a tripod, a microphone, or similar equipment), reach out to the club in advance about accreditation, since a standard ticket does not grant that right.
  • Before the event, check what items you can generally bring into the arena, since the rules cover more than just camera gear. You can find more details in our guide on what you can and cannot bring to a Žalgiris event.

Additional tips

  • Regular camera flash is usually fine, but longer filming sessions with extra lighting gear can distract players and other fans, so it is best not to use flash when filming.
  • If you are not sure whether your camera counts as "professional", it is safer to email the club and check in advance than risk having your gear held at the entrance.
  • Keep in mind that the arena runs a video streaming system, so your face might end up in official club or broadcast footage during the game, even if you aren't filming anything yourself.
